BYG + GR = BFFs!

We are so super excited to announce that Sacandaga Roots and Beyond Your Garden plant nursery are officially partnering up. Sacandaga Roots is the parent company of Grassroots (and our super not-so-secret upcoming project). This means that Beyond Your Garden will be our official supplier for plants, used in Grassroots' gorgeous landscape installations, as well as being available for upcoming retail sale (you know, at that super secret place that we don't talk about).

Oh, have you not BEEN to Beyond Your Garden yet?? Let me tell you all about them. BYG (as we cool

kids call them) is on Fish House road out in Broadalbin. They have an expansive selection of annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees. Their quality is top-of-the-line, and their service is excellent.

The owner of BYG, Jesse Walter, has a Nursery Management degree in ornamental horticulture from SUNY Cobleskill, and is a NYS Certified Nursery and Landscape Professional. All that to say that he's like really really good at what he does. In fact, all of the staff at BYG are really good at what they do. They are knowledgable, helpful, and patient even with customers who are stopping in for their 4th time that week looking for a really specific perennial that they can't remember for the life of them, but it's like tall and spiky and has purpley flowers that look like tiny Bugles... You know the one.

We've been using BYG for years as one of our primary suppliers because, well, their plants are just better. Ok, that and their mission and values really align with ours. Like they want to help people create beautiful spaces around their homes. And they care about the environment, so they promote sustainable practices like using native plants and pollinators.

We highly recommend you stop by their place the next time you're driving around the lake. Just be warned, you will probably not walk out empty handed...

Happy planting!
